A Little Slice of Irony

So the writers are on strike.  Late night is shut down.  A handful of sitcoms have already shut down.  Dramas will only last for another month to three months before they run out of material.  No negotiations planned yet.  Ready for the slice of irony?  The last writers strike cost Hollywood half a billion dollars … in 1986.  The current projections say that Hollywood stands to lose anywhere between $1 and $2 billion because of this strike … all over about $200 million in online distribution revenue.  HA!  Some people are idiots.  In this particular incident, it’s the producers, studios and networks.  Okay guys, time to get your heads out of your asses and just pony up some dough to the writers already.
